Your browser does the job of opening up html files and displaying

own a domain name and you need to have html files. Then you
need to tell the system where to find that domain name ("setting nameservers") and you also need to put
those files on the matching server where the rest of the world can find them. Each
file you place on that server's hard drive that is a valid html file will appear as a single web page.

So you need html files, but where do you get them? This is easy: For starters,
www.htmlu.com has tons of templates for you to use to get started.
Pick out a template you like - and guess what? You're halfway home!
Next, set yourself up with an ftp client and a text editor (both are free) and you're in business.
Upload your template to your site using ftp, point your browser to your web address, and hey presto you have a website.
You then edit your html files to tell your story even better, upload via ftp, refresh your browser and hey presto
you see your changes - you can learn as you go because you see the actual results of your changes almost immediately.
(Of course, you can use your browser to view your web pages locally, you don't have to be online to work on your html files.)
